Coppejans Gallery will once again participate in the art fair PAN Amsterdam. Stand 61 will consist of two spaces. In the main space, I will bring mainly work by the gallery's artists. In addition, I will build a contemporary Wunderkammer with more than a hundred art and design objects by various international artists. Wunderkammer met meer dan honderd kunst- en desingobjecten van diverse internationale kunstenaars.
A Wunderkammer, also known as a wonder cabinet, is a collection of special objects from different disciplines, such as natural history, art, science, and curiosities. These cabinets are actually the forerunners of museums. They originated in the Renaissance and served to display and share knowledge. A Wunderkammer reflected collectors' fascination with the unknown and the exotic. The space offered visitors a visual and intellectual journey through the world of wonders. In booth 61, we are building a contemporary version of the Wunderkammer, featuring work by our artists extended with interesting pieces by other artists.
