At the end of March 2020, Antwerp will have a new gallery. After more than fifteen years of experience in the art world, Stijn Coppejans is starting his own project.
The new space is located on Falconplein in Antwerp, between Eilandje and Schipperskwartier, 200 meters from the MAS. The building will be thoroughly renovated in the coming months, but anyone who wants to can get acquainted with the new art space on the 18th and 19th of January.
Together with the other Artland Antwerp galleries, we are raising the glass for the new year and the ambitious plans.
With six exhibitions per working year and a number of external events, Coppejans Gallery wants to expand its work in direct dialogue with artists, collectors and museums.
The projects of the gallery will start from the relationships between art, science and philosophy. With an international selection of artists, Stijn Coppejans wants to inspire collectors and art lovers to find and make deeper connections in their own collection.
Both the art-historical context and the topicality of the works become the most important criteria for the choices that the gallery will make.
