In very uncertain and difficult circumstances, architect Jens Van Zele managed to finish the gallery by the foreseen opening date: 29 March 2020. Unfortunately, opening is impossible due to the first lockdown in Belgium since the Second World War.

De plannen voor Coppejans Gallery werden danig in de war gestuurd, maar de ruimte staat klaar. Met gemengde gevoelens betraden we het pand, maar onze vaste regel voor de toekomst was geboren: “nooit stoppen met plannen maken.”

We hope to be able to announce our first exhibition soon and wish everyone much strength in this difficult period.
