May 18, 2023 marks the start of a new collaboration between Coppejans Gallery and kinetic artist Hans Kooi. He will participate in the exhibition Art is Research that opens during the Antwerp Art Weekend.

His work is typified by the use of magnets and the fragile interplay between magnetic and gravitational field forces. Kooi's work is included in several private and public collections including the Kröller Müller Museum in Otterlo.

Since the 1980s he has been represented in France by Galerie Denise René in Paris, an authority on geometric and kinetic art. It is planned that Coppejans Gallery will represent the artist in Belgium.
