A new exhibition opens at Museum Prinsenhof Delft (NL) on 6 July. The expo Lothar Wolleh sees Jan Schoonhoven. Masters of rhythm and light' tells the story of an extraordinary friendship between Delft visual artist Jan Schoonhoven and Düsseldorf photographer Lothar Wolleh. It is the first time these two artists have been shown together in this way. Wolleh's love of photographic experimentation makes him a pioneer of post-war photography.

The exhibition brings together reliefs and drawings by Jan Schoonhoven with Lothar Wolleh's photography. Against the background of their shared fascination with the workings of rhythm and light, the exhibition offers a new perspective on Jan Schoonhoven's life and work.

Coppejans Gallery supported the realisation of a never-executed design by Schoonhoven for this exhibition: a large crate installation that visitors can even walk into. The expo will run until 7 January 2024.
