Pim De Rudder Gallery was a local phenomenon with a large network. From all corners of the country and even abroad, this Assenede gallery was visited by art lovers and artists. After the death of the gallery owner, an art foundation was established. The activities that now take place there ensure that the history behind this remarkable art initiative is kept alive. The M HKA is also involved in opening up the archives.
Two weeks ago Stijn Coppejans opened a solo exhibition of Gaston De Mey there. The selected works are grouped by period and give a good overview of the versatility in the oeuvre of this geometric abstract artist.
